Camavinga complicates Valverde

The arrival of Eduardo Camavinga (Angola, November 10, 2002) to Real Madrid opens a wide range of possibilities to Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian coach, aware of the virtues and problems of the Whites, now has a young player, of remarkable physique and with great technical conditions and tactical development, although he has yet to train to make a qualitative leap in a team of elite as is the white set.

Eduardo Camavinga's data in Ligue1.

But his arrival will in turn leave collateral victims. The main one is Fede Valverde, recently renovated. The Uruguayan is taking advantage of the losses of Kroos and Modric and had taken a position in the core accompanying Casemiro. Acting as an interior, the Uruguayan had returned to his state before the muscular discomfort that has kept him away from ownership in 2021 (he has also suffered from Coronavirus), but the arrival of Camavinga puts more pressure on him. Camavinga is a player who can act in any position in the center of the field, but where it has been performing more and better is as an interior, although some want to see it as a possible replacement for Casemiro. He can also act as a defensive pivot, but his revs slow down.

Not only Valverde will see his status affected. Also other players like Isco and Ceballos are going to see harmed for the arrival of the talented French midfielder. The first, who has gone from having a foot and a half outside the white team to being a starter in the last two games officials, is also touched by the presence of Asensio in his new role as midfielder, coming into play in the center of the field, a role that Zidane began to work with the Balearic right in the preseason in which he was injured against Arsenal in the last tour of the United States that Madrid did in 2019. For its part, Ceballos, who is injured for a couple of months, will have to start in unequal conditions: upon his arrival after two years on loan at Arsenal, he adds the time he will be unemployed due to the injury he suffered in the first match at the Olympic Games against Egypt (a complete tear of the anterior peroneal-talar ligament and peroneal-calcaneus of his left ankle). The truth is that the arrival of Camavinga opens up more possibilities … and leaves collateral victims …
