Camavinga aspires to go to the World Cup

The early spring that Eduardo Camavinga has lived in recent weeks with Real Madrid also extends to the FIFA break. On Thursday, the Whites’ international played the entire match and scored the first of the two goals in France’s U-21 victory against the Faroe Islands in the qualifying match for the category’s European. Midway through the first half, he received the ball from Admine Adli (Leverkusen player) ten meters from the edge of the box, dribbled past Faroese Lökin and, when Radosavljevic stepped in front of him, put together a left-footed shot to beat Reynatröd with a shot adjusted to the left post, similar to the one that marked North Macedonia in September.

Camavinga, 19, is involved in the task of driving The blueberries to the tournament that takes place next year in Georgia and Romania, but he does not lose sight of his chances of going to the World Cup. Although this is his first year as an Under-21, he already knows what it’s like to play for France’s senior team. His brilliant performances with Rennes, in addition to attracting the attention of Madrid, opened the doors of Deschamps’ dressing room for him, still 17 years old. He made his debut in a Nations League match against Croatia in September 2020 and in the second of his three games, a friendly against Ukraine in October of the same year, he made his debut as a goalscorer. Two precocity records: the youngest rookie with Blues since 1945 and the second youngest scorer in the history of the two-time world champion.

The Frenchman, after a brilliant start and a more subdued middle stretch of the season, has regained his pulse. He is part of the small group of 16 players to which Ancelotti’s squad has been reduced in practice. Camavinga has regained the Italian’s confidence and has enjoyed important minutes in the Whites’ last four games. He scored the goal that started the comeback against Real (he started and scored the entire game), his entry onto the pitch against PSG coincided with Madrid’s reaction to turn the tie around and he played half an hour in Mallorca and the second half of the Classic.

He is aware that if he looks with the white team you can have an exceptional birthday gift (he turns 20 on November 10, eleven days before the opening of the event in Qatar) in the form of a call for the World Cup
