Calleja: “I really value the point”

The Deportivo Alavés coach, Javi Calleja, valued the point achieved against Getafe “a lot” and said that the tie was just after what happened on the pitch.

The Madrilenian commented at a press conference that the duel “was matched and could be resolved by any detail.”

“They have scored in the first they have had, we have gone for the result, but we have not had opportunities in the first half,” explained the babazorro coach, who regretted that they played too much in their own field.

“In the second half we matured the game and we received the reward,” celebrated Calleja. “With zero to zero, Getafe is a team that does not allow to generate chances and with the result in their favor it is even more difficult because they have a lot of experience and draw, but we have had perseverance and attitude for the tie,” he said.

“With the league so even, it is not known who will be the direct rival or not. We are fulfilling the objective and based on play and work we will achieve it “, analyzed the Albiazul coach, who acknowledged that they lacked” tension “when they had the ball.

“We have lacked speed, finding depth on the outside and in those we have some robbery and the goal. We have to improve ”, added a self-critical Calleja, who stressed that they should not lose their minds when the rival tries to sleep the game and slow down.
