Cádiz right-back Carlos Akapo will be out for several months due to a right knee injury that occurred last Saturday in the Copa del Rey match played by the Andalusian team in the Girona field.
Cádiz reported on Monday afternoon in a statement that next Wednesday the footballer will undergo arthroscopy to determine more clearly the extent of an injury that will require surgical intervention, an operation that will be delayed by the protocol of the covid- 19 that forces him to pass a PCR this Tuesday.
However, the medical report issued by Cádiz points out that “the tests carried out so far show the involvement of the meniscus in his right knee, without ruling out that there may be other pathologies.”
Carlos Akapo had to leave the Girona stadium turf on a stretcher after 70 minutes of play with obvious signs of pain and at that moment it could be seen that the injury would be serious.
