Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said on Wednesday which rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud is still in the concussion protocol. He missed Week 15’s game against the Tennessee Titans because of the injury.

“Each head injury is unique. “Everyone heals at their own pace,” Ryans told reporters Wednesday. “He is just following the rules, like everyone else has.”

Making assured C.J. is healthy is the most important thing. This week, Case Keenum took over at quarterback for Stroud following the Texans’ 19-16 overtime win over the Titans on Sunday.
