“Each game is different, we are going to see how we both arrive within a month,” he said about the latest Barca triumphs in El Clásico

The director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño, expressed the illusion of the white club for reaching the final of the Copa del Rey despite the match against FC Barcelona in the semifinals, “a step, very difficult”, but he showed his ” full confidence” in qualifying despite recent precedents.
“Two extraordinary games for the public and the competition. Maximum difficulty, but with great enthusiasm. We have one step left, very difficult due to the rival that has touched us, but with full confidence that the team can play great games, can make a good result at the Bernabéu and being able to defend it in Barcelona”, he commented.
After attending the draw for the semifinals of the Copa del Rey at the RFEF’s Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid), Emilio Butragueño said that “each game is different” in reference to the last two Barça victories in El Clásico in LaLiga Santander and the recent final of the Spanish Super Cup.
“We will see what the circumstances are when we face them in a month. Along the way there will be many games, and we will see how we both get to that first game. They will be disputed, but we face them with the confidence that the team can respond to the demand. It has nothing to do with what has happened before,” he stressed.
‘El Buitre’ stressed that Real Madrid competes “to win” regardless of the rival. “In this case Barcelona has touched us. Against any rival the approach is the same: reach the final. At this point we have very little left and we are going to do everything possible to reach the final,” he said.
Regarding the calendar, the director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid reiterated that “it is tremendous”. “We have to adapt because it is what it is. For this reason, we always say that all the players are important, because we play every three days and the demand is very high. The calendar is very difficult because all the rivals demand a lot from you”, he confessed.
Regarding the statement from Atlético de Madrid and the statements by the CEO of the mattress club, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, in which they expressed their complaints about Soto Grado’s refereeing in the cup derby in the semifinals, Butragueño evaded commenting. “We are here to talk about the Cup and this tie. Nothing to say about any other matter,” he said.
