The president of Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, ensures that “one billion” viewers will see the Bundesliga from next weekend since it is the only “great league” that has managed to play again within the coronavirus pandemic, and considered that this will be “great publicity ” for the country.

“The Bundesliga is now the first major league in the world to play again and if it is the only one around the world to be broadcast on television, then I assume we will have an audience of one billion people worldwide,” Rummenigge said in a interview with 'Sport Bild'.

For the former player, this “will not only be advertising for German football and the Bundesliga, but for the whole country and especially for german politicians who have made this possible with a very good approach. ”

“When I was a young man, 'Made in Germany' was a reliable trademark and this is something we have lost in recent years. The Bundesliga restart also shows that 'Made in Germany' is again an absolute hallmark of approval, “he added.
