Buffon jokes about Cristiano's record: “You could have scored fewer goals for me …”

Cristiano scored his 760th career goal in the Italian Super Cup final on Wednesday and became the top solo scorer in football history. The Portuguese came to the duel with Naples tied at the head of the standings with Josef Bican, both with 759 goals. However, the Portuguese scored the first of his team's two goals in the final and set a new record.

Having achieved that new goalscoring mark, his teammate Gianluigi Buffon took the opportunity to joke with the Portuguese record. “You could have avoided scoring some goals for me, but anyway, congratulations on your 1000 career record, CR760!” The Italian goalkeeper jokingly wrote on his social media.
