Bronny James Wears LeBron’s Sneakers in College Debut

Bronny James takes LeBron’s sneakers to his first college game.

The college volleyball match between Long Beach State and USC Trojans on Sunday afternoon was not the most important event in sports.

But for Bronny James, it was a very important time. Five months after having a heart attack in practice, the 19-year-old freshman makes his college start.

USC lost 84–79 to Long Beach State at home in overtime, which was a big surprise. It wasn’t a surprise that Bronny came away the bench as a backup player and played well in the short time he was on the court.

In his first game in the NCAA, the freshman scored four points and made an amazing chase-down stop.

He had a lot going on, but LeBron James still made time to cheer in his son. Bronny showed his respect for his dad by wearing one of the Nike shoes that his dad designed. Here’s what fans and players need to know regarding Bronny’s kicks:

He did all of this off the bench. Vincent Iwuchukwu helped James with a dunk. Iwuchukwu also had a heart attack as a student. He came back and played in 14 games last year.
