Brigitte Macron’s affectionate greeting to Zelenski’s wife: joined hands and hugs in Paris

Olena Zelenska passed by Buckingham Palace in London a few days ago, where she met Camilla. From the queen consort of England, to the French first lady. This Monday, December 12, Zelenski’s wife has visited the Élysée Palace, in Paris.

At the gates of the emblematic seat of the presidency of the French Republic, Zelenska has been received by Brigitte Macron. From first lady to first lady, the Frenchwoman has lovingly held her hands and given her a welcoming hug. They have joined her faces and, holding hands, have exchanged a few first words.

Both ladies have already met in New York and transmit a lot of chemistry and connection. They are in tune. Olena Zelenska has poured all her energy into defending the cause of women and violence against women, making mental health visible and weaving a support network for families who have suffered the loss of loved ones. She symbolizes the more emotional side of the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.

Macron and Zekenska support the initiative operation stork for the evacuation and care of sick children, who are transferred to French hospitals. This meeting between the two first ladies took place on the eve of the Conference for Ukraine, with Paris as the host city.
