Brian Oliván, new Espanyol player for the next three seasons

MADRID, 21 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Left-back Brian Olivan is now a new player for RCD Espanyol, a club with which he has signed a three-year contract, becoming the first ‘parrot’ signing for next season, as announced by the Catalan team in a statement on Tuesday.

“Brian Oliván (Barcelona, 4/1/1994) has become RCD Espanyol’s first signing for the 2022-2023 season. The club has reached an agreement with the player who has signed a three-year contract. Brian Oliván arrives at RCD Espanyol after the end of his contract with RCD Mallorca, a team he has been a part of for the last two seasons,” Espanyol announced.

Trained in the lower categories of FC Barcelona, Oliván has played for Sporting de Braga, CSKA de Sofía, Real Valladolid and Granada, before arriving at Cádiz CF, where he spent three seasons. From the Cádiz team he jumped to Girona FC and in September 2020 he signed for RCD Mallorca, where he has played the last two seasons.

The new Espanyol player, who passed the relevant medical examination at the Corachán Clinic, was presented this Tuesday at the Juan Segura Palomares Auditorium at the RCDE Stadium. From there, he assured that he arrives “with a lot of ambition and a lot of desire to face this new challenge” in his sports career.

“This club would define it as pride, feeling and that it is like a family and this is very important. I come with desire and one hundred percent ambition and to fight for a place in the starting 11”, sentenced Oliván, who stated that he signed for Espanyol “at the best moment” of his career.
