Brady’s response to Mahomes and Kelce breaking another of his league records is ecstatic.

Brady’s response to Mahomes and Kelce breaking another of his league records is ecstatic.

Brady reacts positively to Mahomes, and Kelce’s NFL record-breaking performance initially aired on NBC Sports Boston.

On Sunday, a record held by erstwhile New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was broken. Brady had established numerous NFL records.

The Patriots were the recipients of the first twelve playoff touchdown passes between Brady and Gronkowski from 2010 to 2018. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, meanwhile, acquired the last three in 2020 and 2021.

They were overshadowed by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matthew Stafford and tight end Travis Kelce throughout their AFC Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills over the weekend.

Mahomes’ passes to Kelce for a 22-yard score in the first quarter and a 3-yard score in the fourth have brought their combined playoff touchdowns to 16.

By the end of the day, the Chiefs had advanced to the AFC Championship Game for the sixth consecutive season, triumphing 27-20.

Tom Brady, an NFL legend, presented flowers to Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce subsequent to the Kansas City Chiefs’ star duo surpassing one of Brady’s playoff records.

Brady and their longtime tight end teammate Rob Gronkowski owned the record for the most touchdowns scored by a quarterback and receiver in a playoff series.

Mahomes and Kelce’s 16th career playoff touchdown together surpassed Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s record as the most through a quarterback-receiver duo in league history, in Sunday’s 27–24 divisional playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Brady and Gronkowski each accumulated twelve touchdowns in the postseason for the New England Patriots and three more during their time with the Buccaneers of Tampa.

Brady retweeted an image of Patrick Mahomes and Kelly McGee with the following caption: “BEASTS.

Brady’s decision to acknowledge and appreciate others while remotely observing this year’s postseason is commendable. Prodigy Mahomes, who has just secured an appearance in his sixth consecutive AFC championship game, commented briefly on surpassing Brady Gronkowski’s record.

Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady entered the second round of divisional play of the 2024 NFL playoffs as the sole quarterback-receiver duo to have combined for 15 touchdowns in the postseason.

The enduring Patriots duo now ranks second among all-time NFL quarterbacks in recording postseason touchdowns after the Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday. A player who outperforms Gronk is executing an action correctly.

Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelce have surpassed Buffalo by two touchdowns in the NFL playoffs, setting a new record for the most playoff touchdowns achieved by a quarterback-receiver duo.

With 15, Brady as well as his longtime tight end teammate Rob Gronkowski set the record for the most touchdowns scored by a quarterback and receiver in a playoff series.

The Patriots were the recipients of the first twelve playoff touchdown passes between Brady and Gronkowski from 2010 to 2018. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, meanwhile, acquired the last three in 2020 and 2021.

Kansas City Chiefs passer Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Travis Kelce overshadowed them throughout their AFC Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills over the weekend.

Despite losing this record with Mahomes, Kelce, Brady, and Gronkowski can still find solace in the fact that they defeated this Chiefs duo 2-0 in the postseason.

Brady and Gronk led the Patriots to victory over the Chiefs in the 2018 AFC Championship Game. Two years later, with the Buccaneers, they dismantled Kansas City in Super Bowl LV.

However, Brady’s most recent compliment not only compared two elite duos but also served as a reminder to the NFL community of the extent to which the Chiefs’ 28-year-old quarterback is deserving of his admiration.

The most recent “BEASTS” endorsement follows the Mahomes-Kelce era’s sixth consecutive AFC championship game appearance by the Chiefs.

Following the initial match, which concluded with Brady’s New England Patriots defeating Mahomes’ Chiefs 37-31 in overtime, Brady paid homage to Mahomes by visiting the Chiefs’ locker room.

At the time, Mahomes’ MVP-caliber performance was impressive, but his pursuit of Brady’s Super Bowl rings remained an aspirational goal. Mahomes has not yet surpassed Brady after five years, but he is making steady progress in that regard.
