Borja Garcés asks for forgiveness and Leganés imposes a financial sanction on him

Borja Garcés, Leganés striker on loan from Atlético de Madrid, apologized for the ‘act of indiscipline’ that meant absent from training prior to the duel against Tenerife without permission to attend a wedding, as confirmed by his coach Asier Garitano.

“Hello everyone, pepineros. Last Saturday I committed an act of indiscipline by absent from the previous training session against Tenerife. From here I want to apologize to everyone. To the club, the coach, the coaching staff, my teammates and everything heart to the fans, “he said in a video released through his official accounts on social networks.

Moments later, the Madrid entity has issued a statement in which it confirmed that the footballer had exercised with the rest of his teammates after being imposed an economic sanction that he had accepted.

“On October 23, striker Borja Garcés was absent from training prior to the match against Tenerife without authorization from the coach or the club itself, committing a serious act of indiscipline,” the text begins.

“On the afternoon of this Monday the player has apologized for his behavior to the coaching staff, his teammates, the workers and the Leganés fans. A transcendent financial sanction has been imposed from the club that the player has accepted, training this same afternoon with the rest of his companions, “he completes.

It all came after his coach revealed the situation at a press conference last Saturday, showing deep discomfort: “Two days ago he asked my permission to attend a wedding today. I won’t give it to him. I think he’s asking the club again and that he is told that it cannot be. And, without permission, this morning he does not come and go to a wedding in Melilla. To me, that seems an aberration, a real outrage. As long as I am here, I know what I’m going to do”.

“I am not going to spoil absolutely anyone. Even if he is a player I love, I loved him. I do not accept those situations from absolutely anyone. We are as we are and whatever happens that boy right now and while I am in this team, will not wear the club shirt again, “he said.
