The former German tennis player Boris Becker, current captain of the German Davis Cup team, has not ruled out returning to work as a coach, a task that he has already carried out in the past collaborating with world number one Novak Djokovic.
“I would not rule out being a coach again,” Becker told Eurosport, stressing that tennis is his “great love.” Although he currently works in the German Federation, the former player stressed that “nothing is forever.”
Becker noted that the problem with coaching is the time it takes. “As a Djokovic coach I spent 25-30 weeks traveling. That includes weeks of training and smaller tournaments,” he recalled. Becker, who assisted the Serbian to six 'Grand Slam' titles between 2013 and 2016.
