BARCELONA, 29 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The father of FC Barcelona player Ansu Fati, Bori Fati, assured that his son does not want to leave the Blaugrana club but that he thinks “something else” due to the lack of minutes and prominence of his son in Xavi Hernández’s project.
“Ansu doesn’t want to leave Barça, but as a father I think otherwise. What bothers me is that Ansu plays so few minutes, he deserves much more”, said Bori Fati in ‘El Partidazo de COPE’ with Juanma Castaño.
From the meeting with the Blaugrana football director, Mateu Alemany, he revealed that he told him that Ansu is “the club’s heritage” and that Barça loves Ansu. “The first thing Ansu told Jorge Mendes was that he is from Barça and he is not leaving Barça. I thought otherwise, but he told me ‘Dad, I don’t agree. I want to be here'”, explained the father .
But Bori Fati is so upset with the current situation that he hinted that he would no longer go to the Spotify Camp Nou. “I’m not going to go to the field anymore, I’m very angry. In a month from now we’ll see Mendes, sure. As a father I’m pissed off, but maybe I’m not right… Everyone knows who Mendes is. 1 or 2 years ago he told me that he had offers and Bartomeu did not want to listen to them,” he recalled.
“I think that we deserve much more, because Ansu played before getting injured and Messi, Griezmann, Suárez were there… I have told Mateu (Alemany, football director) ‘Ansu is your franchise footballer. He is 10, the who dared to take Messi’s 10. What bothers me is that he plays so few minutes”, he reiterated.
In this sense, he qualified that he does not ask Xavi to put Ansu “yes or yes”. “But Ansu has been injured with Barça and has gone through this ordeal with Barça. Barça was in the doldrums and everyone wanted him to play. They accelerated him to come back. And now what? Do they forget about him?” , he asked himself.
Of course, he made it clear that his son’s position is different. “Ansu is not upset with Xavi, he is his usual idol. I am angry as a father,” she stressed.
Looking to the future, he pointed out that he, as a father, thinks a lot about Seville and returning home. “Right now I would not value an offer from Madrid, because Ansu would not accept it. I cannot put Ansu where he does not want. But I will never speak ill of Madrid because they are two very big clubs and you never know what the world is going to do to you. hold… You never know where it will take you”, he added.
