Bordalás: “The president has always supported me, he doesn't have to tell me”

José Bordalás, Getafe coach, declared this Thursday that his team feels “good and is in the mood” to face Betis, despite chaining a five-game streak without winning, and assured, on a personal level, that the club president , Ángel Torres, “always” has supported him.

Getafe faces this game at a very delicate moment after five games without a win, adding 449 minutes without scoring a goal and being three points behind relegation.

“The team is doing well, they are in good spirits. We do not think about previous defeats but about the immediate. A good team has to know how to disconnect, forget about the above and think about the following, “said Bordalás, at a press conference.

The bad results, the proximity to the relegation and the game offered in recent games have caused the Azulón coach to begin to be questioned by some sectors of the fans.

“The president always shows me his support. You don't have to tell me, although we talk regularly. From the first day until today he has supported me ”, confessed Bordalás, focused on the match against Betis.

“Each game is the most important. This is the requirement of the competition. Betis has magnificent players like Fekir, Canales and Borja Iglesias and has a great coach like Manuel Pellegrini. They have grown as a team, but the idea is the same ”, he pointed out.

Bordalás also denied that there is discomfort in his squad due to the results and assured that “the dressing room is committed and it is a real family.”

“We are very united and we have clear objectives. We live day to day and the boys have a very big commitment, ”said Bordalás, who did not want to enter to assess the sanction of a game imposed after the expulsion on the last day.

“Anything you comment can be interpreted in any way. I accept the sanction and I am not going to assess whether it is fair or unfair ”, he declared.

The Azulón coach acknowledged that the season is being more difficult than others, although he was confident that the dynamics will change soon.

“Since I arrived we have experienced extraordinary moments at all levels and now the season is being more in line with the difficulties that the competition entails. It is normal to compare it with other seasons but this year it is time to suffer. Not all seasons are extraordinary, not even for the great ones ”, he concluded.
