José Bordalás is outlining his staging with Valencia. The Alicante coach, who has taken a few days off to disconnect between his five-year stage at Getafe and his landing at Mestalla, begins to have the foundations of what will be the black and white preseason, which as happened last summer due to the pandemic, it will take place entirely in the Valencian Community.
Valencia will prepare the new season in three venues: Paterna, Oliva and south of Alicante. The team will return to Ciudad Deportiva the week of July 5. He will do it without his internationals and to undergo the mandatory medical and physical tests. The Covid protocols will continue to be present in the day-to-day life of the clubs, so the first week will pass mainly between tests and bubbles.
In mid-July, Valencia will focus on the hotel Oliva Nova Golf. Bordalás knows the facilities well, given that Getafe has been a regular visitor in recent years. The intention of the coaching staff is to play a first friendly match there, although the objective of the concentration will be mainly to promote coexistence and get to know each other.
The team will then return to Paterna and at the end of July, as it did last year, will carry out a brief concentration of two or three days in the south of the province of Alicante, where they will face two teams from the League that will also make their stay in the Valencian Community. In fact, derbies could be repeated against Levante and Villarreal, although these friendlies are yet to be finalized.
