Bordalás: “I don't think Athletic has any kind of euphoria”

Return to LaLiga. Athletic and Getafe will face each other tomorrow in San Mamés starting at nine at night in the clash corresponding to the twentieth day of the regularity tournament. José
Bordalás has appeared today at noon to assess the confrontation against the rojiblancos. The coach believes that the lions will not be carried away by the confidence of having won the Super Cup title. “I don't know the euphoria they may have, I imagine they will be happy to get a title, but it is a team with a lot of experience, it knows how to change chips and now they are immersed in the league. They have a goal and they will play the game with the utmost interest, I don't think they have any kind of euphoria ”, he said.

In any case, expect an Athletic “with a lot of courage”. “It is always a difficult team, right now they are confident, but we are also in a good moment. We are confident that we will play a good game, we know it will be difficult because it is a good team but we are going with confidence and the utmost interest in having a good game ”.

Bordalás has launched praise for the lions. “It would be important to win, not only emotionally but also to continue with the good dynamics of the last two games although we know that it will not be easy because we have a great team in front of us.”

Getafe arrives in Bilbao at their best, after two consecutive wins against Elche (1-3) and Huesca (1-0). “If we look at the results we are in our best moment, we have achieved two consecutive victories, but we think about the immediate, not what we have gone through because there is tremendous equality.”

The Alicante coach has emphasized this last aspect. “I am not surprised that there is that equality, the teams that move up are very competitive and it is not easy to get the games ahead, even for the great ones, it is a manifest equality. It is costing a lot, you have to master all facets of the game. That requires you to be super attentive at every moment ”.

Finally, he expressed how special it is to play at San Mamés, where they won 0-2 last season. “The past is not important to me in football. I live in the moment, yes it is true that always playing at La Catedral is special for any professional, it is a shame that there is not that magnificent hobby they have. But you have to face it and the games are always interesting and important ”, he reiterated.
