The coach of Valencia, José Bordalás, acknowledged having “frustration” for the performance that the team is having and because he is an “ambitious” person, although he knows that currently they cannot be “compared” with the teams of a high part in which he doesn’t want to think because he would see it as “reckless” given the “terrible streak” in which they are immersed after adding another defeat against FC Barcelona.
“I am an ambitious person and my goal was to try to improve the performance and numbers of previous seasons and to date we have not succeeded. We are on a very bad run, the last game away from home against Alavés was one of the worst and not today It was a good game”, confessed Bordalás in a press conference after the game.
In this sense, he stressed that he felt “frustration”. “I am very pissed off because this was not my objective, I want a team that competes like in Bilbao. This is Primera, as long as you are not with all five senses, the rival hits you,” he said, making it clear that, “of course”, the team has the level to eliminate Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey. “The players know it, the San Mamés thing is what needs to be continued,” he added.
In addition, the man from Alicante pointed out that “obviously it is a reality” that they cannot fight to be in Europe. “With the numbers we have achieved and the results in this important stage, we cannot think about that, it would be reckless.
