He Bolivian bolivar announced this Friday to the Spanish midfielder Alvaro Rey as the first foreign reinforcement in its restart of activities, which has as main objective the Copa Libertadores.
“Welcome Alvaro Rey to @Bolivar_Oficial. Recio's first signing. Spanish winger with extensive experience who will reinforce our attack,” the president of Bolívar wrote on Twitter, Marcelo Claure.
The leader stressed that the 31-year-old Spaniard “will contribute with his talent to the Bolivian Academy” based on his experience in soccer in the United States, Greece and Poland, in addition to his training in Betis youth teams and his career in other teams in Spain.
Rey has played since 2018 for Deportivo Mirandés, from the Second Division of Spain, and will join the Bolivian team when it faces its preparation to resume competition in the Copa Libertadores.
“See you right now, I'm eager to wear the Celeste. Let's go Academy”, was the message that the Spanish player sent to Bolívar fans through a promotional video released by the club.
Those led by Argentine coach Claudio Vivas have been preparing for several weeks to face the match against Brazilian Palmeiras on September 16 in Group B of the continental competition.
