Yann Bodiger will become the third winter reinforcement of Real Zaragoza in the next few hours, after the loan of Peybernes and Álex Alegría. The 25-year-old French midfielder ended his contract with Cádiz on June 30 and all parties have reached a transfer agreement whereby the footballer arrives with the letter of freedom to the Aragonese culb, with whom he will sign a contract three years, and the people of Cádiz keep a percentage of their rights, around 20%, for a future sale.
Bodiger, whose signing will be made official as soon as he passes the medical examination and all the documentation is signed, will reinforce the Real Zaragoza midfield and especially will give him height, thanks to his 1.88 meters tall. In principle, the player's idea was to end the season with Cádiz, but the fact that the Cádiz team needed to release chips together with the few minutes that he was counting on lately have led him to make the decision to look for a way out, deciding out of all the offers he had in the Second Division for Real Zaragoza.
Bodiger will thus become the fifth French footballer in the history of Real Zaragoza after Luccin, Pignol, Sinama-Pongolle and Peybernes. The U21 international midfielder was trained in the lower categories of Toulouse, making his debut with the first team in 2014. In his fifth season with the French team, Bodiger was loaned out to Córdoba in the winter market of the 2018-19 academic year. That same summer he signed for Cádiz, where last season he achieved promotion by playing 21 league games, fifteen of them as a starter. This season he has only played 493 minutes between the League and the Cup, so he comes to Zaragoza in search of those minutes that he was not having in the Cadiz team.
