Billie Jean King Cup 2021: teams and players

The ITF has announced the calls for the 12 teams that will compete to be crowned champions in the final of the Billie Jean King Cup in Prague from November 1-6, 2021. No.1 seed and defending champion France will have three of their 2019 winners with Caroline Garcia, Alize Cornet and Fiona Ferro among the players named by captain Julien Benneteau, in his bid to defend his title.

The Czech Republic will look to build on its success at Tokyo 2020, with medalists Barbora Krejcikova, Marketa Vondrousova and Katerina Siniakova, all named to the Czech team aiming to be crowned champions at home. Olympic singles gold medalist Belinda Bencic will lead the Swiss team, while mixed doubles gold medalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova leads a strong team from the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF). Individual Grand Slam Champions Garbine Muguruza (within the Spanish quintet), Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber and Sloa
