The 40 teams that comprise this new category have been divided into two groups. In the system with which The competition will take place in both groups, it should be noted that the first classified will be promoted directly to the Second Division and the teams located between the second and fifth position will play the promotion play-offs in a single venue. In the lower area of the table, the last five classified will be the clubs that will be relegated to the Second RFEF.

The clubs themselves have chosen by secret ballot the International Doge of Madrid, Unionistas of Salamanca, Racing Club of Santander, Athletic Club B and CF Rayo Majadahonda as their five representatives in the RFEF First Committee.
