Big Joke, very angry, responds to Daniel Sancho’s Spanish lawyer: “He will serve his entire sentence in Thailand”

The number two of the Thai police and person responsible for the investigation into the death of Edwin Arrieta spoke out again this Wednesday. Big Joke, annoyed by the information that points to a possible extradition of daniel sancho to Spain, has responded bluntly: “He will serve his full sentence in Thailand.”

A statement that clashes head-on with the words of Marcos García Montes, the renowned Spanish lawyer hired by Rodolfo Sancho who works in the defense of his son: “The objective is for it to be a prison sentence that is likely, in four years, to be in Spain”.

Big Joke has taken the opportunity to remember that the sentence will depend on Daniel’s attitude during the investigation and the development of the trial, relegating the role of his defense to practically nothing: “If he denies the charges he will face the death penalty, but “If he pleads guilty, it will be a life sentence. The decision is his.” And he adds: “Let him collaborate if he doesn’t want to end up on death row.”

And Daniel’s defense could have recommended that he maintain a more discreet attitude and only testify or collaborate in the presence of his lawyer. The reconstruction of the crime, images that were recorded and leaked by the Thai police, greatly surprised and upset the defense of the Spanish chef, who denounced Sancho’s legal helplessness during these first weeks.

Unrest in Thailand

Let us remember that in the Asian country the information coming from Spain is not doing well at all. The fact that police methods, the well-being of prisoners in their prisons and even the presence of the media at the gates of Koh Samui are questioned has generated much unrest. This is how the authorities transferred it to the Spanish embassy itself and this is what Rodolfo Sancho himself revealed: “Please, we are going to have problems.”

In fact, the actor praised the kindness and professionalism of the Thai officials in his first words to the press from there: “My son is very well taken care of, I thought he would have lost weight but on the contrary, he has even gained a little weight. He plays sports, he eats well and is surrounded by kind people. I had a three-hour visit that was extended to five and that is appreciated”.
