Betis beat Rayo without gunpowder and Real Sociedad debuts victory by thrashing Granada

Alavés beat Valencia by the minimum

MADRID, 2 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Betis beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 this Saturday, with a goal from Willian José from a direct free kick, within a matchday 4 of LaLiga EA Sports that saw the victorious debut of Real Sociedad by a glossy 5-3 against Granada CF and also the victory, by the minimum, of Deportivo Alavés over Valencia CF.

The Saturday round of matches began at the Reale Arena, thanks to a scoring battle that began in the 9th minute. The Japanese Take Kubo made it 1-0, after a pass from Brais Méndez to uncheck, with a low left foot shot as soon as he entered to the area. Granada equalized on 35′, thanks to a rebounding own goal scored by Robin Le Normand from a corner.

Kubo repeated, making it 2-1 just before the break, executing a left-footed shot from the opposite corner of the area that stumbled off Gerard Gumbau and lodged in the Nasrid squad. Martín Zubimendi’s 3-1 (59′) came with a strong right foot at mid-height, after a pass from Méndez, and Ander Barrenetxea scored it 4-1 (67′) to make good an excellent pass from his teammate Mikel Oyarzabal, high-heeled.

In minute 76′ the ‘hand’ from San Sebastián was completed with an own goal from Miki Bosch, but the visitors made up the result with a target from the newcomer Lucas Boyé (83′) and already in the last breath with another from Bryan Zaragoza (90+9). After three draws in a row, Real Sociedad finally won and reached 6 points; For its part, the Granada team has 3 points and looks to relegation.

At the Mendizorroza Stadium, an early own goal by Turkish defender Cenk Özkacar, after a Rubén Duarte cross from the left wing, helped Alavés beat a Valencia that was losing steam. Even before, Kike García had missed a penalty in the ranks of Vitoria. Both clubs continue in the middle of the table, with 6 points.

Finally, the Estadio Benito Villamarín closed the night with a somewhat short 1-0 due to the merits seen, especially in the second half. Willian José’s direct free kick crystallized in minute 53, as the Rayista barrier did not cover the gaps well; goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski stretched late and did not prevent the goal. The harvest placed Betis with 7 points in noble positions, leaving Rayo behind with 6 points.
