Real Betis, FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol and Sevilla FC sealed their place on Wednesday in the semifinals of the XXVI edition of the LaLiga Promises International Tournament, the Under-12 category tournament that takes place in the Gran Canaria town of Maspalomas, after eliminate Juventus from Turin, Valencia, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.
Thus, Betis was the first team to qualify for the next round of the tournament, after beating the Italian team in the quarterfinals thanks to a goal from Ángel Bueno, one of the tournament’s greatest talents. The Andalusians will now face Barcelona, who beat Valencia by the minimum thanks to an early goal from Ignasi Bassas.
For their part, Espanyol also got their ticket to the semifinals after eliminating a combative Real Madrid. After a very close game with clear chances for both teams, the 0-0 final took the game to penalties, where a mistake in the last shot by the Whites gave the Catalan team a pass to the semifinals.
The parakeets will face Sevilla in the next round, who won their match against Borussia Dortumd thanks to Bruno’s solitary goal. The four Spanish teams will seek the pass to the final this Thursday and succeed Atlético de Madrid in the list of winners.
