Bertín Osborne, very sorry: “If Gaby’s son is his, he wants to have a relationship with him”

Radical turn in the history of Bertin Osborne y Gabriela Guillén, who gave birth to the singer’s last child last December. The singer and the model have made headlines in recent months first for their relationship, then for the pregnancy and, finally, for their breakup. A rupture at all levels that led Bertín to cease communication with Gabriela, cancel the financial aid he provided her and publicly declare that he would not act as the father of that baby. Now, the artist regrets: “He recognizes that he has not known how to manage the situation.”

The singer would have confessed it to his most intimate circle with the intention of amending the mistakes of the past: “If it is proven that the baby is his, he will have a deal with him”, assures Beatriz Cortazar. Bertín believes that the situation overwhelmed him and that he was also poorly advised. He now believes that he did not act in the most correct way and is willing to rectify it in case the paternity test, which Gaby has already requested, confirms that the baby is his sixth child.

A 180 degree turn in Bertín’s attitude, who the same week of his son’s birth offered an interview for a fee: “I had a short-term relationship with her and, one day, she told me that she was expecting a child. I told him: ‘Look, since you have two options, you should know that I will be helping with either of them. But it is not my turn to be a father again now. I have decided that I do not want to be a father. I’m not going to be a father. She said that she ‘didn’t care’, that she was going to have it anyway. It’s her responsibility. She has made a decision that is absolutely reasonable and that I applaud, and for which there is no problem on my part,” he said. Statements for which he was branded “sexist” and “irresponsible.”

Gaby, for her part, is cautious about this turn of events and assures: “I will talk about the things I have to talk to him about, not with the media.” Of course, she throws in a little joke: “I told you, everything comes.”
