MADRID, 23 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Beatriz González Mesa has been provisionally proclaimed president of the new professional women’s football league this Monday, as confirmed by the Higher Sports Council (CSD).

The CSD indicated that the Electoral Commission of the Professional Women’s Soccer League (LPFF) found that “the only candidacies presented” had been that of Beatriz González for the Presidency and that of Rubén Alcaine, current president of the Association of Women’s Soccer Clubs (ACFF), for the Vice Presidency.

“Having verified the candidacies, it has been found that they meet the statutory requirements for accessing the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the LPFF. In accordance with the foregoing, the Electoral Commission has agreed to provisionally proclaim Beatriz Álvarez Mesa, president of the LPFF, and Rubén Alcaine Lorente, vice president,” he added.
