However, from Bayern the message remains the same. “I love Cristiano Ronaldo, a fantastic player, but every club has a philosophy and I’m not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern and the Bundesliga if we signed him now,” insisted Oliver Kahn, CEO of the Munich club.

“Such a move does not necessarily fit with our ideas,” concludes Kahn, whose message is traced to the one he has been launching since it was learned that Cristiano has communicated to Manchester United his desire to leave. His goal is to play in the Champions League with options to win it, but at the moment Bayern doesn’t see him in their squad, just like Real Madrid, PSG or Chelsea.
