Bautista, Munar and Párrizas make their debuts in Marseille, Córdoba and Cluj-Napoca

MADRID, 5 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista has successfully completed his debut in the Marseille (France) tournament, in the ATP 250 category and played on a hard court, after beating the Frenchman Richard Gasquet this Monday in the first round (6-3, 7-5). , while Jaume Munar and Nuria Párrizas have done the same against the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galán (6-2, 6-4) in Córdoba (Argentina) and against the German Laura Siegemund (6-4, 6-4) in Cluj- Napoca (Romania), respectively.

Bautista, who has fallen to number 102 in the ATP rankings during his absence from the circuit due to injury, survived the five break balls he faced during the match, which lasted one hour and 51 minutes.

A break in the sixth game was enough for him to win the first set, and in the second he closed the match with another solitary break. Now, the man from Castellón will face in the next round the Russian Karen Khachanov, world number 18 and third favorite in the French competition.

In Córdoba, an ATP 250 category tournament played on clay, Munar also did not give up his serve in the hour and 41 minutes that his confrontation with Galán lasted. The Spaniard, world number 74, signed a 4-0 start which guaranteed the first set.

In the second, a break in the seventh game put him on the path to victory, which saw him meet the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo, the tournament's main favorite, in the second round.

Meanwhile, Párrizas, 132 in the world ranking, debuted with victory against Siegemund in Cluj-Napoca, in the WTA 250 category and on hard court. After losing her serve in the first game, the Grenadian won four consecutive games that allowed her to redirect the fight.

Despite giving up his serve again in the seventh game, he ended the set with a break. In the second set, which started with a 3-1 lead, he won again thanks to three breaks from him, compared to two from his opponent. Russian Anna Blinkova, third seed, will be her next rival.
