MADRID, 1 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Básquet Girona beat Coviran Granada (91-102) this Sunday in the third day of the Liga Endesa to remain unbeaten, while MoraBanc Andorra and BAXI Manresa achieved their first win of the season against Zunder Palencia (89-74 ) and the Río Breogán (85-89).
Salva Camps’ team made it 3-0 at the top of the table with a great Quino Colom (21 points, 9 assists and 28 PIR). The Spanish international was the driving force of the Catalan team against a Granada team that conceded a very different 0-3.
The Nasrid Sports Palace celebrated a good start for their team (23-16), with Cheatham and Tomàs, but the game changed until a resounding 22-35. Girona sealed its comeback in the last quarter, with 12 points from Colom in less than five minutes.
On the other hand, Joventut confirmed its change of pace after losing its debut against Barça, and that of a Gran Canaria that fell (89-75) in Badalona. The ‘Penya’ escaped in the second half, with Andres Feliz once again decisive (23 points and 29 rating), along with Ante Tomic (27 rating) and Thomas (19), the same ones who led the victory on Thursday against the Granada.
In addition, Sunday served as the first victory for Andorra and Manresa. Those from the Principality overcame a Palencia team whose energy failed, after close to scoring against Barça two days before. The connection between Starks (14 points and 19 PIR) and Dos Anjos (13 and 17) cemented the Andorran victory.
Meanwhile, in Lugo, extra time was needed and BAXI Manresa took a necessary victory with a great Devin Robinson, with 18 points without a mistake and a PIR of 22. Pedro Martínez’s men lived off the benefits of a good first quarter, but had to sweat against Rudan and Quintela in the last quarter and to triumph in overtime.
