Baskonia take the Palau and Tomic lead Joventut

MADRID, 5 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Bitci Baskonia has signed an exhibition this Sunday to defeat Barça at the Palau Blaugrana (78-91), in a twelfth day of the Endesa League in which Joventut has prevailed in a direct duel against UCAM Murcia (83-77 ) and in which the match between Surne Bilbao Basket and Río Breogán could not be played due to technical problems with the scoreboards.

The Vitoria team knew how to react to the defeat in Kaunas to sign one of their best games of the season. Those of Spahija, led by the pair formed by Steven Enoch (23 points and 27 of valuation) and Matt Costello (19 points and 23 of valuation), dominated from beginning to end in a duel in which they came to have 18 points of rent.

The Spanish-Montenegrin Nikola Mirotic, with 20 points, shot the Barça team, who paid for his lack of success from the triple zone and who fell in the battle for the rebound (29 recoveries compared to 37 for the Basques). Thus, it is second (10-2) to a victory for the leader Real Madrid.

For their part, Joventut has taken another step towards the Copa del Rey in Granada after beating UCAM Murcia (83-77) this Sunday, a direct rival for the same goal. The Croatian pivot Ante Tomic led the green-blacks with 25 goals, who are fourth (7-4) just ahead of the Murcians (7-5).

Meanwhile, Unicaja won the Andalusian derby against bottom Coosur Real Betis (73-79), who had possession to draw or win and did not know how to take advantage of it. With this, the malagueños (6-6) are getting closer to the access positions to the cup tournament.

In addition, Salva Maldonado made his debut on the bench of Hereda San Pablo Burgos, who broke a streak of six consecutive defeats by beating Gran Canaria (82-89).

Finally, the match between Surne Bilbao Basket and Río Breogán had to be suspended due to the impossibility of correcting the technical problems on the scoreboards at the Bilbao Arena in Miribilla.
