Barcelona B achieved a tight victory at home against Cornellà (2-1)

Barça won 2-1 against Cornellà during the match held this Saturday at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. Barcelona B entered the game wanting to overcome their league points after suffering a 2-1 loss in the previous match against FC Andorra. For its part, Cornellà lost by a result of 1-0 in the previous match against Sevilla At. and was on a three-fight losing streak. With this defeat, Cornellà was in seventeenth position at the end of the match, while Barcelona B is twelfth.

During the first half of the match none of the players managed to score, so during the first 45 minutes the score did not move from the initial 0-0.

The second period started with a face for the Barcelona team, who premiered their luminous goal with a goal from Blanco moments after the resumption of the game, specifically in the 50th minute. However, the team from Cornellan managed to equalize thanks to a goal from Chiki in the 59th minute. The local team took the lead through a new goal by Blanco, thus completing a brace in the 61st minute, thus ending the confrontation with the score of 2-1.

Both coaches made moves on the benches. The Barcelona B coach brought in Álvaro Sanz, Peque and Peque Polo for De Vega, Ez Abde and Jutglà, while Cornellà brought in Gil, Andreu, Jairo Morillas, Pipo and Gerard Martin for Mancuso, Dorca, Gonpi, Víctor Fernandez and Valin.

The referee admonished Arnau Comas and Mika Mármol for Barça and Mancuso, Rulo, Valín and Andreu for the team from Cornellan.

With 36 points, Sergi Barjuán’s Barcelona B was in twelfth place in the general table at the end of the match, while the team led by Raúl Casany was in seventeenth place with 32 points.

The team that played the game at home will face Betis Deportivo the following day, while Cornellà will play against Llagostera.
