The Liga Plenitude ASOBAL has held this Thursday the draw for its calendar for the 2023/24 season, the first in its history with professional status, which will begin on the weekend of September 9 and 10 and which will include the visit of Barça, in force champion, to the field of Bidasoa Irun.
On that first day, according to the draw at ASOBAL’s own headquarters, the highest category of Spanish men’s club handball will experience its most outstanding match in the visit of the Catalans to the Artaleku court. The REBI Balonmano Cuenca, current runner-up, will debut for its part in El Sargal receiving Helvetia Anaitasuna.
Viveros Herol BM Nava will return to the elite by taking on Fraikin Granollers at home, while Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto will debut at home against Bathco Torrelavega. The first day will be completed with a visit to Recoletas At. Valladolid to Bada Huesca, the clash in O Gatañal between Frigoríficos del Morrazo and Logroño La Rioja, the duel between ABANCA Ademar León and Ángel Ximénez Puente Genil in Ademarista territory and the Blendio Sinfín vs. TM Benidorm in La Albericia.
The 34th edition of this ASOBAL League will be a campaign marked by derbies, as well as clashes of maximum territorial rivalry, which always leave images of brotherhood and respect between local fans and visitors. The adversary to beat for all the teams will be, one more season, Barça.
