Barça tortures Levante and wins its fourth Women's Super Cup

7-0 victory for the culés against the 'granotas' in Butarque

MADRID, 20 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Saturday, FC Barcelona won its fourth Spanish Women's Super Cup title, third in a row, thanks to an overwhelming 7-0 victory against Levante UD during a final without history, resolved by the culés before reaching half an hour and which was played at the Butarque Municipal Stadium (Leganés).

Having lasted almost a quarter of an hour with a clean sheet, the 'granotas' conceded the first through Salma Paralluelo, with a low shot at will after a 'death' pass given to her by Caroline Graham Hansen, from the line in the background in an entrance to the right.

Graham Hansen herself made it 2-0 in the 24th minute, thanks to a powerful right foot inside the area, having benefited from the rejection of a previous shot by Patri Guijarro. Shortly after Levante took the center, Guijarro herself stole the ball and created a long Barça attack, which culminated in a shot against the post by Aitana Bonmatí after a great dribble.

Paralluelo, leaning to the left, controlled that rebound and assisted at grass level for Ona Batlle to make it 3-0. With hardly any bite in attack and emotionally beaten by being three goals down, José Luis Sánchez Vera's pupils did not find a way to put the rival goalkeeper in trouble, a Cata Coll who was a luxurious witness to the victory.

In fact, the next Blaugrana goal did not take long to arrive, by Graham Hansen in the 36th minute following an error by Levante's Paula Tomás, whose failed clearance caused a counterattack by the Norwegian forward; She ran into the rival area, combined with Bonmatí and she back-heeled the ball to Graham Hansen, who sealed the 4-0 score.

Just before the break came Barça's 'little hand', achieved by Paralluelo with a close-range shot from the far post, after a pass from Batlle in a ride down the left wing. The unappealable 5-0 was a loss for the Valencian team, which at least contained the frenzy of its opponents for several minutes after the restart.

But Graham Hansen wanted his hat-trick, he insisted with offensives for that purpose and he achieved it in the 54th minute, with a right foot inside the area that lodged in the top corner, making Bonmatí's assist good. And just three minutes later, Bonmatí herself established the 7-0 with a high left foot, in a quick play that had been driven by Batlle.

For both coaches, the idea of giving their best players a rest came into play, thinking about the F League and other important events. One of those who took the field on the Barça side was Claudia Pina, who in the 79th minute took a direct free kick from very far away and was about to beat the 'granota' goalkeeper over her head.

The carousel of changes and the very large scoreboard made the game slow down, with everything decided, although Barça even enjoyed another couple of clear chances. The Swedish goalkeeper Emma Holmgren thwarted those actions and Butarque finally witnessed a remarkable victory by the culés to once again proclaim themselves super champions.
