MADRID, 19 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Brazilian striker Geyse Ferreira, top scorer of the Primera Iberdrola 2021-22 along with the culé Asisat Oshoala, will play the next two seasons in the women’s Barça after finishing his contract with Madrid CFF, the Barça club reported this Sunday.
The 24-year-old Brazilian international, who scored 20 goals in the league -practically 50% of those achieved by her team-, signed her contract until June 30, 2024 in the presidential office of the Camp Nou, accompanied by the president Joan Laporta and of the manager in charge, Xavier Puig.
With this, it becomes the fourth incorporation of Barça 2022-23, after the return of Laia Codina and the signings of Nuria Rábano and the Englishwoman Lucy Bronze, who signed her contract until 2024 on Saturday after arriving free from Manchester City .
“Playing against Barça has always been fun, like with the rest of the big teams. I’m happy to have shared being the top scorer with Oshoala and also to share a dressing room with her next season. I’m here to help the team reach the goals you set,” Geyse said.
