MADRID, 23 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Barça was proclaimed champion of the National Futsal League this Friday by beating Jaén Paraíso Interior (2-5) in the third match of the final ‘playoff’ for the title, the Barça sentence at the Olivo Arena to their third title in a row .
Jesús Velasco’s men went 2-0 down at half-time, but a brilliant second half, with four goals in three minutes, served up the seventh league in the club’s history. Renato’s double in the first seven minutes gave the local team the necessary faith to seek to cut back on the two defeats they brought from the Palau.
However, the defending champions reacted with character and quality after going through the locker room, subduing a Spanish Cup champion struck down in four minutes. Jaén’s first league final ended on the fast track from the entry of Sergio González, a revulsive Barça player in the second 20 minutes.
Dyego tied the game in minute 29 and then Matheus, Ferrao and Catela sealed the final in three minutes, making the blaugrana champions for the third time in a row and for the seventh time in their history. The Olivo Arena, which heated up at times with Catela’s celebration after his great goal, said goodbye to its heroes with honours, although the biggest prize went to those of Velasco.
