President Josep Maria Bartomeu publicly announced, and practically glancing, the names of the players with whom the technical secretariat and the future coach, Ronald Koeman, have for the next season, during the interview he gave to the club's official media. The list is relatively short: it only affects eight players. The first and who heads the new Koeman project is Leo Messi. From now on, the president listed a series of footballers who will surely accompany the Argentine star: “Semedo, Griezmann, Lenglet, Ter Stegen, Dembélé and De Jong”. Earlier, during the interview, he had already added Ansu Fati, “a player from whom we have received many offers, but we have already explained that he is non-transferable and that he will not leave.” Thus, a total of eight non-transferable players.
Taking into account that the squad this season consisted of 19 first-team footballers and that one of them, Arthur Melo, will not be sure of his transfer to Juventus, we are talking about a total of eleven players who have the transferable poster in the club. Namely: Neto, Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Alba, Junior, Braithwaite, Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Vidal, Umtiti and Luis Suárez. These eleven players are on the starting grid.
Some, as we anticipated in AS, is in the 'pole position': Rakitic, Vidal, Braithwaite, Junior and Umtiti. These are the priorities of the club to give them an immediate exit.
Then the sacred cows will arrive. A minimum of two will leave the club. Luis Suárez is the one indicated by all, both because of his age and because the contract ends next season. But also Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets could end up seeing themselves in the position of packing their bags. Even piqué, who came to offer his head if necessary, does not have all with him about his future.
The renewal targets a minimum of nine players in total. Taking into account that they will come to the first team for sure Trincao, Pjanic and almost certainly Pedri, together with those of the subsidiary Fati, Riqui Puig and Ronald Araujo, we find that Koeman will have a minimum of three or four signings ahead more to rush to complete your template.
