Barça, champion of the F League in the return of Alexia Putellas

MADRID, 30 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona was proclaimed champion of the 2022-2023 Finetwork League F this Sunday after defeating Sporting Club Huelva (3-0) at the Johan Cruyff, their 26th victory on matchday 26, a day of double celebration because the long-awaited return of Alexia Putellas.

The Catalan team fulfilled the forecasts and took the title of the first edition of the championship under its ‘professional’ label, the eighth in its record and the fourth in a row, which continues to distance it from the rest of its rivals, led by Athletic Club and its five trophies.

The team coached by Jonatan Giráldez did not give the rest too many options in their fight to dominate national football once again and was able to sing the alirón with four games still to play and after a new overwhelming season in which they continue without losing.

Against the Huelva team he added his 61st consecutive victory in the F League, where he has not lost since June 2021 and where he has already surpassed the barrier of one hundred goals scored (108), in exchange for only conceding just five.

In this campaign, so far, only Levante (2-1), Real Sociedad (2-1) and Real Madrid (1-0) have come close to scratching something positive against the Catalans, whose only blurs so far They are the elimination in the Copa de la Reina, due to improper alignment of Geyse Ferreira, and the defeat (3-1) against Bayern in the group stage of the Champions League.

And all this despite having to play almost the entire season without the help of their captain and star, Alexia Putellas, seriously injured and who returned to play 299 days after rupturing the cruciate ligament in her left knee. The double Ballon d’Or took the field in the 74th minute to the ovation of the Culé public.

Sporting Huelva, for its part, could not avoid the local party and remains one point behind the relegation set by Alhama CF El Pozo. Laia Codina put the Catalans ahead before the break by first finishing off a cross hung by Claudia Pina (min.39).

After the restart, a great goal from Jana Fernández from outside the area with a direct shot to the top corner clarified the outlook for Jonatan Giráldez’s team, who closed the score with another goal from Asisat Oshoala in the 89th minute.
