Barça-Boca, event of the year in Riyadh

Although the Barça will arrive in low hours to meet Riad, where this Tuesday the Maradona Cup, a tribute match between the Barça team and Boca Juniors To commemorate the first anniversary of the death of the Argentine star, the party is lived as one of the events of the year in the Saudi capital.

At the entrance to Riyadh, arriving by the main highway from the airport, there are countless Illuminated posters announcing the clash between Barça and Boca Juniors this Tuesday (18 hours in Spain). Many are football fans, and very specifically Barça, who live in detail of everything that happens in the Barça club, as was demonstrated in the visit of the culé team in January 2020, on the occasion of the Spain Supercup.

The country’s authorities have made a large investment –Barça will charge around 3 million euros for their participation– in order to attract important events to the country, especially considering that the neighbor Qatar will celebrate next year the world football and that this Tuesday the city of Dubai (United Arab Emirates) will have the presence of Leo Messi on the occasion of his Universal Exhibition.

Before the start of the match in the Mrsool Park, where it is expected to fill the 25,000 locations from the stadium, there will be a screening of a short documentary about Diego Armando Maradona.

As part of the activities of the match, during a giant painting will be drawn inside the stadium, accompanied by lyrical links with which the public will interact. Everything will be seen directly on the stadium screens through a drone that will capture every detail.

Till the date, Barça and Boca Juniors have faced each other in a total of 10 times, all of them within the framework of Joan Gamper Trophy which the Barça club organizes every summer in its stadium, but faces have never been seen outside of Barcelona before.
