Barça beat Palma Futsal this Sunday (2-2 and 3-2 on penalties) in the final of the XXXII edition of the Spanish Super Cup, to lift the first title at stake of the 2021/22 season.
With their victory in Jerez, the Catalan side won their third Spanish Super Cup, equaling Caja Segovia in the record, but behind the six of ElPozo Murcia or the thirteen of Inter FS.
The Sports Palace of Jerez vibrated until the last breath, with the battle waged by the Balearic team, debutants in the tournament and who aspired to return to a final after the Copa del Rey in 2016. André Coelho overtook Jesús Velasco’s men but in the next minute Marlon equalized for Palma.
Thus began the second half and the many chances did not prevent extra time. Mancuso and Adolfo also exchanged goals and, even more emotionally, the final went to penalties. Eloy Rojas, Tomaz and Cainan failed and the Super Cup traveled to Barcelona, the first title of Velasco’s project.
