The current champion came from behind (3-2) against Valdepeñas, while the Madrid team thrashed Antequera (0-6) at the start of the tournament
MADRID, 9 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Barça and Inter Movistar will face each other in the first semifinal of the Spanish Futsal Cup that will take place next Saturday at the Granada Municipal Sports Palace, after victories against Viña Albali Valdepeñas and BeSoccer CD UMA Antequera, in their corresponding quarterfinal matches.
The current champion struck first after coming back (3-2) from a game that went uphill in the first half. Although the Ciudad Real team took the lead on the scoreboard after seven minutes through Claudino, the forces of those in blue were diminishing. The total harassment of the Catalan team ended up turning the score around with two great goals, first from Adolfo and then from Pito.
Forced by the result, Valdepeñas launched into the game, finding the goal prize in Ivi’s boots with five minutes to go. However, thirty seconds after the tie, Pito reappeared to put an end to the joy of the ass and put Barça back in the lead. Without Ferrao or Dyego, casualties due to injury, his compatriot put the team on her back.
It was easier for Inter Movistar who overwhelmed (0-6) in their match against Antequera with an offensive display. Those from Torrejón were too much of a rival for a poor team from Malaga who already saw how they were passed over in the first half. Cecilio opened the scoring after four minutes and shortly after Sepe put the second.
Although Manuel Luiggi’s men threatened to react at the beginning of the second half, the Madrid team took the roller to finish decanting the clash. Cecilio signed his double at 21′ taking advantage of the fact that the goalkeeper was out of place and after half an hour of play, Fits signed the sentence with the 0-4 score and shortly after also put the fifth. Drahovsky closed the game at 36′, definitively ending Antequera who barely appeared despite his great season.
