Barça and Heura Foods come together to promote women’s sport and a more sustainable food system

BARCELONA, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona and the company Heura Foods have signed a new sponsorship agreement from which the food brand becomes the new partner of Barça Women for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2025.

With this alliance, both parties will work on different initiatives to promote a more sustainable food system at a global level, while collaborating to give a new impetus to women’s football.

“The agreement between FC Barcelona and Heura Foods has been possible thanks to a series of common values ​​such as a commitment to innovation, effort and teamwork. Values ​​that the Barça women’s team perfectly embodies and that have led to being a benchmark both on and off the pitch”, the club wields.

As part of this union, FC Barcelona and Heura Foods will collaborate in different visibility actions with Jonatan Giráldez’s players and in the creation of content that will be distributed through the club’s digital channels with the aim of allowing the public to discover and get to know better the options offered in the daily diet by plant-based foods.

Along the same lines, starting with the celebration of the new edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 23, which will pit Barça Women against Montpellier, it will also be possible to find plant-based restaurant options at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, such as Heura chicken sandwich menu and Heura sausage menu.


“We are extremely proud to be able to start this joint project with Heura Foods, a brand that has demonstrated its innovative vocation and its desire to have a positive impact on its environment. And at FC Barcelona we are convinced of the power of sport when it comes to contributing to create a better world and that is why we believe that with this collaboration we can develop actions that help us move towards a more sustainable future”, assured the vice-president of the FC Barcelona Marketing Area, Juli Guiu.

For his part, the CEO and co-founder of Heura Foods, Marc Coloma, assured that “innovation, determination and non-conformity” are just some of the traits they admire about the FC Barcelona women’s team. “That’s why we wanted to partner with such an inspiring team of elite athletes, nutritionists and coaches,” he said.
