The Real Sociedad coach, Imanol Alguacil, was unhappy with his team’s defeat (2-0) this Thursday against Roma in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16, while acknowledging that “a time again” it is shown that these parties “are big for them.
“Once again it shows that these games are great for us. It has been a more even game than what the result reflects, but obviously what it is about here is to score a goal and be forceful in the areas”, said the coach in statements to the club’s media.
The Basque spoke of the lack of forcefulness in the areas as the great problem of his team. “We can be talking in days about what the two teams have been able to do between areas and I think that everything has been very even there. But obviously if you are not forceful in the areas there is nothing to do. Once again it has been shown. You have to continue to improve, but these matches are great for us,” he said.
