MADRID, 1 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) won the Sprint in the MotoGP category this Saturday during the Italian Grand Prix, the seventh stop of the Motorcycle World Championship, ahead of the Spaniards Marc Márquez (Ducati) and Pedro Acosta (KTM) .

‘Pecco’ Bagnaia started well at the Mugello International Circuit, going from second to first place on the grid, and even better did his compatriot Enea Bastianini (Ducati), who at the start made up several places and thanks to that ferocity he hugged the Spanish poleman Jorge Martín (Ducati), thus making the podium more expensive.

Marc Márquez was looking for him, who had started this short race from fourth place. Further back in the ‘peloton’, and after having seen the South African Brad Binder (KTM) overtaking several opponents, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) starred in a fall that was finally left without penalties.

Bastianini then tried to pass Martín with an outside line in turn 1 on lap 3, but his bike received a touch from the San Sebastián de los Reyes rider, which caused the Italian to fall. And five laps later, it was Martinator himself who crashed in the same corner, this time with no one else involved.

In the lead, and despite the fact that Marc Márquez had increased his pace, ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia did not suffer until he secured the victory and gained courage for the long race on Sunday, where he will start three positions lower on the grid, due to a penalty. that has been going on since Friday.

This good news on Saturday, being the leader from start to finish after 11 laps, helped Bagnaia to close his disadvantage in the general classification of the World Championship. Martín remains at the top with 155 points, ‘Pecco’ is second with 128 and Marc Márquez occupies third place with 123.
