Badajoz wins 2-1 against Real Union de Irun

The Union failed to beat Badajoz, who won 2-1 during the match held this Friday at the Nuevo Vivero. Badajoz entered the game wanting to overcome their points in the table after suffering a 1-0 loss in the previous duel against Internacional. As for the visiting team, Real Unión de Irún was defeated 0-1 in the last match they played against Sanse and had a streak of four consecutive losses. With this defeat, Real Unión de Irún was in ninth position at the end of the match, while Badajoz is seventh.

The first team to score was Real Unión de Irún, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring through a goal by Sergio Llamas in the 6th minute. But Badajoz later reacted and leveled the game through a goal from Concha to the 35 minutes. After this, a new opportunity allowed the local team to increase the score, which came back with a goal from Santamaría just before the final whistle, specifically in minute 43. After this, the first half ended with a result of 2-1.

Neither team managed to score in the second period, so the game ended with a score of 2-1.

In the chapter of changes, Isaac’s Badajoz relieved Adilson, Otegui, Clemente and Adri Cuevas for Zelu, Isi, Dani Aquino and Concha, while Union coach Aitor Zulaika ordered the entry of Quique Rivero, Oyarzun, Bravo and Pradera to replace Anatz Elizondo, Beobide, Nacho and Iván Pérez.

The referee showed Badajoz four yellow cards (Isi, Santamaría, Gorka Pérez and Clemente). He also showed a red card to the local team, which caused Aitor Pascual to be sent off. The visiting team left the match clean of cards.

After the conclusion of this match of day number 29, Badajoz was placed in seventh position with 44 points, while Real Unión de Irún is in ninth place with 43 points.

The team that played the game at home will face SD Logroñés the following day, while Real Unión de Irún will play Cultural Leonesa.
