Bad weather frustrates Don Juan Carlos’s plans in Sanxenxo: El Bribón goes sailing without him

Third day of Don Juan Carlos in Sanxenxo and it has not turned out as planned. Despite the fact that she was expected to act as skipper, the Bribón 500 has gone sailing without the emeritus king on board due to adverse weather conditions (especially due to the waves).

The father of Felipe VI arrived this Saturday at the Sanxenxo marina around 11:15 am to start the sailing day, although the start of the tests was not scheduled until 1:00 pm.

Back on the pier, the grandfather of Leonor y Sofia has remained inside the car of his close friend Peter Fields while the crew tuned up the Rascal and while the organization made a decision regarding the test. Around 12:40 p.m., the organization decided to start the regatta but without Juan Carlos I.

After leaving the boat, the former monarch has left the vicinity of the marina in the municipality of Pontevedra, without stopping at the Club Náutico. At the moment, the former Head of State meets a much lower profile than last year and with less media exposure.
