Baby and Ulloa return, last minute reinforcements for the Rayo de Iraola

His smile is that of all rayism. Ulloa and Baby posed this Friday smiling – thumbs up – confirming their long-awaited return. Gone are months and months of work, sacrifice and large doses of patience to recover from his serious crusader injuries. Finally, the time came to return and both have done so by sneaking into the Franco-red squad for the match against Tenerife. So Ulloa and Baby become the great last-minute reinforcements for this Rayo de Iraola. Two karat 'signings'.

Baby was injured almost a year ago, on October 26, 2019, during the match against Ponferradina. The winger had to leave the field on a stretcher, between notable gestures of pain, and at that very moment the alarms went off. Soon after, the worst omens were confirmed: suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Something that forced him to undergo surgery on October 30. That serious injury had a rather cruel point, since It came just when Baby was going through his primeHe had scored three goals and was indisputable with Paco Jémez.

These eight months have not been easy for Leo Ulloa either. The forward was injured on February 12 during training after a bad movement that caused severe knee pain and it prevented him from continuing to exercise with his peers. It painted badly and the tests confirmed it. The Argentine had a roture of the anterior cruciate ligament and the medial side of his left knee. Like Baby, the striker also had to be intervened, in his case on March 11. Another stroke of bad luck, since Ulloa was injured when he had just found himself with the goal: the sixth of the course and the first in Vallecas.

His return means more gunpowder up for the Vallecano team. Coach Iraola will be able to count on a more available forward, Ulloa, given that until now I only had Yacine Qasmi as pure 'nine'. Of course, with a large roster of midfielders, such as Andrés, Pozo, Trejo, Montiel … And also, the coach adds another extreme. Isi, Álvaro García, Antoñín and Lass are joined by Baby. Two additions that can be crucial in the goal of promotion.
