Simeone’s men regain confidence with a good game against Cádiz

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Atlético de Madrid thrashed (1-4) this Sunday against Cádiz on matchday 15 of LaLiga Santander held at the Nuevo Mirandilla, a remarkable performance to recover sensations and goals in an irregular season in which they remain very much alive.

Those of Diego Pablo Simeone parked the stick in the Champions League against Milan, where the swell hits him harder, to tighten the upper zone of the domestic competition. Away from home, where they had been weak, Atlético had patience to find their options and take advantage of them with Lemar, Griezmann, Correa and Cunha.

Cádiz was strong from the start and also arrived in danger, in fact at 20 seconds Choco Lozano had a good chance. The Atleti did not find Luis Suárez, and lived on the arreones of Carrasco or Lemar, while little by little Marcos Llorente cheered up and lamented the injury of Giménez.

The rojiblanca defense left some more oversight, and Salvi was also able to score as Pacha Espino. In the resumption, those of the ‘Cholo’ had to start again with a feeling of fragility, and a Choco that warned again. Cádiz held up well, with another warning in a corner kick, until Lemar surprised.

The French midfielder appeared this time in a small area to head a Carrasco center and, from there, Cádiz opened highways for visitors. Lemar had a heads up with Ledesma and shortly after Griezmann made it 0-2 without a mark.

Correa and Cunha also punished the back of a Cádiz with a victory in 10 games, looking into the red zone. It was an open end, back and forth where Cádiz came to make it 1-3, in an unfortunate play by Oblak. Atlético recovers the smile in the Silver Cup in a tight fight for the leadership.
