Atlético raises the curtain on ‘The Dreamers’ Villa’

Atlético has opened the door to a very special town: that of the dreamers. The team of never stop believing takes its motto to the tangible. His Foundation and Ria Money Transfer, the club’s sponsor since 2019, officially presented this social project: ‘The Dreamers’ Villa’. The target, meridian: offer a safe environment to minors at risk of social exclusion to develop their physical and mental abilities. The opening ceremony of the school, sponsored by Enrique Cerezo, Atletico president, took place at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Sports Center, where throughout the course the thirty students participating in this initiative will exercisewho come from a social integration program of the Alcalá City Council.

Adelardo Rodríguez, president of the Foundation, acted as host in an event that was also attended by José Cabral, general manager in Europe of Ria Money Transfer, and Javier Rodríguez Palacios, mayor of the town. “We are convinced that this innovative school, in which, in addition to training, we offer various formationsschool for parents, nutrition and another series of activities, can help children to broaden their future possibilities,” said Adelardo. “We want to generate a sense of belonging both with the school and with their peers. This project will help them feel empowered, discover their skills and worthto gain self-confidence and to be prepared to face any challengesaid José Cabral for his part.

The Villa de los Soñadores not only provides an opportunity to play football, but also to learn values: that effort is necessarythat being colleagues is very important, that you go further when you live and work with another and that if you make an effort, the objectives are achievedJavier Rodríguez Palacios highlighted. The project was born with the aim of offering young people a place where they can develop their skills and keep them active and stimulated mentally and physically.. Likewise, in addition to the training (led by Atletico coaches), different training sessions and talks related to empowerment, nutrition, personal motivation and guidance will be scheduled. The door is open. Now to dream.
